This is the perfect time of year to be thankful for the happiness and health of our family, friends, neighbors, and community. During the holidays, we share, we love, and we resolve to try and uphold these sentiments for the rest of the year. We also reflect upon our time-honored values, and ensure that we pass them onto the younger generations. It’s the season when anything is possible, so let’s make the 2012 holiday season a time to forgive, reunite, and help those in need.
In honor of the New Year, we make promises to better ourselves that we intend to keep during the coming year. This tradition as old as human civilization; even the ancient Babylonians and Romans issued oaths to their gods at the start of each year, pledging to return borrowed objects and pay debts. Today, we call these promises our New Year’s resolutions.
Tis the season to make our dreams come true and fulfill our resolutions. This is the time to hope for new beginnings.
