There’s nothing quite like breathing in the delightfully fresh mountain air while looking over rolling green hills covered in emerald aspen and conifer trees.

Glenwild Trails is home to more than 400 miles of public hiking and mountain biking trails for riders of all skill levels. Regardless of what trail you choose, you’ll be treated to gorgeous views of the Iron, Bald Eagle, and Quarry mountains. Yet there’s one system of trails built specifically for bikers: the Glenwild Trail System, which features 25 miles of biker-friendly grades and narrow paths that wind through the North Snyderville Basin. The city’s trails are so well thought of that in 2011 the International Mountain Bicycling Association chose Park City as the highest-rated mountain biking destination in the world. Three Park City resorts – Canyons Resort, Park City Mountain Resort, and Deer Valley Resort – offer lift-served mountain biking, making it easier to explore the city’s trails.

Another way to immerse yourself in the area’s natural beauty is by going horseback riding. There are seven businesses that provide horseback riding services, which you can view at Park City’s website. You can also get an unparalleled view of the Wasatch Mountains by going on a hot air balloon ride with Morning Star Balloons or Park City Balloon Adventures.
